Terrific value for a Norelco product – For years I used Norelco shavers and liked their quality. Then I purchased a much less expensive electric razor from Amazon which was perfectly fine at the outset, but didn’t hold up well. I’m still unsure what the longevity will be for the 2300 shaver, but for the moment I’m very happy with the shave I get. It appears to deliver Norelco quality at a knock-off price point.

Great “extra” shaver for the price. – I bought this shaver for use, and to be left at, at my daughter’s house so that I don’t have to carry my shaver with me when I visit. It is very inexpensive and doesn’t have all the same features as the more expensive Norelco’s (for example, doesn’t let you know when it needs charging until it goes “dead”). But, other than the charging, it works just as well as the more expensive models.

Unless you stretch the skin pretty substantially and press down pretty well, there is regrowth inside of hours or stubble left. Does not shave as close as a razor, but these are not blades against the skin so that’s to be expected. Came out of the box with partial charge, so I charged for a few hours and cleaned prior to first use.

When transitioning from a blade to an electric razor, I have found one needs a few days to get the razor to deliver a good shave. After a few days, it takes about 4 or 5 minutes to get a great shave. I bought this because of the sale price. Keep at it and you will like the results

Very quiet, shaves well – I have had it for over a year. Bought it primarily because of the ability to use when it is plugged in, which nowadays most shavers lack. So, you can use it both on battery power and plugged in. The shaver is very quiet and when I used it for the first time because of this I thought it is underpowered. It’s not. It shaves well through a 3-4 day beard no problem. Shaves very close too. Not as close as Braun, but better than my old Norelco. Incidentally, Braun, while giving exceptionally close shave, doesn’t shave anything beyond one-day beard. So, it is not very useful to me most of the time. I can’t comment on battery as I shave a couple of time a week and after each shave recharge it. It certainly lasts for as long as needed to shave even a good beard once. The key is that even if you forget to recharge, just plug it in and shave. Very pleased with the shaver.
