In search of the Perfect Shave! WOW! Amazing shave Highly reccomended – Wow! all I can say is wow! I have been using a Philips/Norelco AT810 for the last 5 years and before that another Philips/Norelco rotary shaver. More on that later. Tried a Remington R5000 rotary shaver recently and it was better than Philips/Norelco but no where near this Panasonic ES-LV65-S. I have come full circle as I originally started with a Braun Foil shaver. I did a ton of research as to who made the best electric shaver out there. two shavers kept coming up Panasonic Arc 5 and Braun series 9.

Being the most I have spent on a shaver before I had high expectations for quality and longevity. So far I have had it a couple of months and can say it is the closest shave I have got which was my primary reason for updating my previous shaver.

Goodbye Braun, and Maybe My Straight Razor Too. – The short version – this is a FANTASTIC electric shaver, it’s the best one that I’ve ever owned in terms of closeness, it puts my previous Brauns to shame and rivals a straight razor.

– I was caught up in the newer is better, cool display syndrome. My previous Panasonic, the arc 3 (ES-lt71 ) was so much better. If your hair grows a little long watch out. the side burn trimmer gives a rash and just pulls the hair out. I have been using the new one for about 3 months now and I wish I could go back. I can’t get in close to my ears due to the grossly large cutting head. Trying to trim around a goatie is almost impossible. Out of the 4 foil blades the inner two work reasonable but the outer 2 just pull the hair out. I am bald and it does a reasonably good job on the top of my head so I give an extra star for that and one for the battery life. Trouble is it takes just as long to shave with the new razor as it took with my old dull one. If I could swap it for the old cheaper one I would do it in a heartbeat
