Sharp! – I don’t shave. I use these for my leather skiver and they are the best available for what I need. Super sharp and hold edge better than others I’ve tried.

The best! – The best blades you can buy. After the second shave, no better than a slightly cheaper blade. It all depends on where you want to spend your money. I use a Leaf, and last year I bought a sampler bag of blades. The Feathers were my favorite, hands down.

My favorite blade – These blades are sharp. I’ve used quite a few different blades and keep reordering these.

I really tried to like these blades! – I’ve been wet shaving since the very first time I shaved way back in the early 80’s. DE razor is the primary weapon but I mix in the straight and shavette too. I went through a 10 pack of these things. I used 10 different razors including late 40s-1960 Gillettes, Jagger de89, Muhle r89 grande and Merkur 34c. I hate these damn blades! After 3 passes my beard is half shaved and my face feels raw but no visible razor burn. My routine is always the same, wash face with glycerin soap, shower, wash face for second time, rinse in hot water, use Geo F Trumper Coral skin food to coat face before each pass, lather (tried soaps and creams), shave. Like I said I know what I’m doing and it works perfectly with Merkur, Muhle, Wilkinson, Derby Premium, Shark Platinum, Astra, Gillette 7 O’Clock (yellow and black) and Persona Blue. But not Feathers. So why 5 stars right? It’s simple, while these blades suck for me, they are the only blade that works for my 22 year old son. He loves them they shave him perfectly with his routine and his days of ever trying anything else are over, at least until his 1,000 blade stock pile is depleted (some to add 40 more from my lot).

I always go back to these – I bought a 100 pack of a different brand recently because they were cheap. They are not quite as sharp as the Feather blades, so I had to slow down. Speed is important as I don’t like to shave, so I gladly sacrifice price for speed and comfort. I think I have finally learned my lesson on switching brands.
